大日经

(大日經, 大日经)

The Vairocana sutra, styled in full [lang id =1028]毘盧遮那成佛神變加持經, tr. in the Tang dynasty by Śubhākarasiṃha [lang id =1028]善無畏 in 7 chuan, of which the first six are the text and the seventh instructions for worship. It is one of the three sutras of the esoteric school. Its teaching pairs with that of the [lang id =1028]金剛頂經. There are two versions of notes and comments on the text, the [lang id =1028]大日經疏 20 chuan, and [lang id =1028]大日經義疏 14 chuan; and other works, e.g. [lang id =1028]大日經義釋; [lang id =1028]大日經不思議疏; [lang id =1028]大日經義軌 in four versions with different titles.
